In its ongoing commitment to advancing academic excellence, strengthening critical-thinking skills, and connecting students with the latest developments in global scientific research, the Department of Environmental Health is pleased to announce the organisation of a special Journal Club on Biodiversity.

As part of this important scientific initiative, outstanding third-year students from the Department of Environmental Health will deliver a series of seminars addressing the significant and timely topic of biodiversity and its implications for environmental and human health. The seminars will be based on recent and influential scientific studies published in leading international journals, including Nature, Science, and journals published by Cell Press.

This initiative provides a valuable opportunity for students to demonstrate and develop their skills in analysing complex scientific data, understanding advanced research methodologies, and critically discussing innovative approaches to biodiversity conservation and the protection of ecological systems. Furthermore, the Journal Club will foster an intellectually stimulating academic environment that encourages the exchange of ideas, scientific dialogue, and collaborative learning between academic staff and students.
